yes, ordered the closed center plug with the joystick and installed it. was not holding clutch pedal down- deerty

alright guys, finally finished all the plumbing and mounting of my new joystick. Got the correct pipe and fittings to get supply oil from the priority valve down to the RS port near brake pedals. Then ran return oil to the RS return port just behind the filter housing. Ran the tractor with...- deerty

4020 rear hub bolts
Thank you for the helpful advice! Might have to do like TimS said and use every trick for the other side! I was able to get 2 of the 3 bolts out. Hammered on heads and then breaker bar and 4’ snipe was able to get them to move. Then impact back and forth to finally come out. 3rd one I...- deerty

4020 rear hub bolts
Trying to loosen rear wheel hub bolts in order to remove wheel from the axle. Bolts must be rusted in tight. Have tried 3/4" breaker bar and snipe, as well and 3/4" and 1" impact. Can not get them to come loose. Heated the wedge on the inside of the wheel around the bolt threads, still no...- deerty

4020 battery box options
I'm considering the same option for one of our 4020's. The original batteries are garbage, going to use 2 new group 31's and thought 30 or 40 series boxes/steps might work. anyone have any pictures of something equipped like this?- deerty

4020 fuel gauge
talked to JD parts, in their notes on the fuel gauge, it states for 12v conversions to use the RE53664 gauge. now, is it safe to assume that it would work with the original sender if it was in working condition? ar26434?? does anyone know why both wouldn't sub to the new serial number 12 volt...- deerty

4020 fuel gauge
recently converted an early 4020 to 12 volts. fuel gauge never worked before, but have time now and would like to get it working. do I need a new 12 volt gauge and 12 volt sending unit? how do I wire it properly?? thanks for any help!- deerty

thanks for the response guys. i'll order the fittings from deere but that steel oil line is pricey, likely just make up a hyd hose in place of it. as for a joystick, these are two I've been looking at. Is one better over the other? Going to operate a 148 JD loader on my 4020...- deerty

Have a 4020 without factory 3-pt and want to plumb in a loader joystick. Supply oil fitting in front of brake pedals is just plugged with cork as well as under the dash. Do I just need to order the proper oil line and fittings for under the dash to supply the rockshaft fitting by the brake? Or...- deerty
