    Recommendation for Engine Oil and Oil Filter for MF 245

    Regarding a 1976 Massey Ferguson 245 Diesel operating in 90F+ temperatures and rarely as low as 20F. There is a leak that coming from the engine oil sump. Given the leak, is there a recommended engine oil type and oil filter ?

    Jim.ME, I saw the diagram, but it looks like the "Frame Assembly, Grille" (Part #772737M92) has to be removed to get to that nut to remove the bulb. I was trying to see if there was a way to avoid removing the frame assembly.

    MF#1, Thanks for the help. The four assembly bolts are out, but the assembly can't pull over the bulbs as the holes are too small. How do you remove the headlight bulbs ? Are they secured from the back with a nut ? I've tried to pull and twist them, but they don't budge.

    Parasitic battery drain

    Jim.ME, Thanks for the help. The alternator is new from NAPA. However, this parasitic drain was also occurring with the old alternator. I thought the old alternator was malfunctioning and not supplying power to the battery. Which is why a new alternator was installed.
