    new IH distributor cap

    Have you guys bought any distributor caps from CIH? They seem to be identical to the Tisco caps. Both of these caps do not have the number "1" molded on them and they do not fit the distributor tight nor do the retaining clips snap tight. Apparently these are all that are available from CIH...

    i have did some checking and the teeth on the ring gear are good.i have noticed on some sellers on e-bay they state in their ads will not fit h model.but then againsome dont.the thing that goes wrong is the spring,it gets all wound around the shaft and the starter does not come all the way away...

    i found the noise,it was the starter i looked up in clutch housing from the bottom and i seen sparks near the top.i took off the starter and i put shims on the bolts.between the starter and the housing,now no more noise.i forgot to mention i did put a new starter on it a couple of months ago.boy...
