1945 B first reduction gear outer bearing part number

Dont have a dealer close enough for it to make sense. Guessing the new JD stuff isn't US made either. I do appreciate the #'s though. If I can figure out the messenger I will get ahold of you.

1945 B first reduction gear outer bearing part number

Just got a parts manual and it showed the 7677r, will probably get the SKF version off fleabay if I can get a US made version. Forums are amazing, you guys are worth your weight in gold. Anyone have Larsons bearing reference that I can get a copy of? All the links are old and dead now. Going to...

    AB403R Unstyled B hood

Everyone including YT seems to be sold out, and when contacted they say that part was discontinued. Have not tried Detwilers yet.

    AB403R Unstyled B hood

Apparently the aftermarket hoods that were being manufactured are no longer being produced. Mine is probably too far gone to save, especially for the price of the bodywork vs buying a new replacement. Does anyone know where I can still get a replacement new manufactured hood? My tractor is a 1936 B.

1945 Deere B Flywheel end play

Thanks guys. I appreciate it. Didnt want to break anything. I have a parts tractor, but then I would have to repaint stuff.

1945 Deere B Flywheel end play

No this is the hand starter nose cone thing on the electric start flywheel.

1945 Deere B Flywheel end play

How does one remove the B1608R part? I cant get the damn thing off. I dont want to pry on it and damage it. Banging on it with a rubber hammer does nothing . The way it goes on would make one think that it would get tighter with the loosening of the flywheel bolts.

1945 Deere B Flywheel end play

Does setting the crankshaft end play on a 1945 B require removing the dome shaped piece on the outside of the flywheel that has the dogs for a hand starter? If so I cant seem to figure out how it comes off. It is held on by 2 bolts and even when those are removed it wont budge. Can I just loosen...

    Deere 2 cylinder studs?

I am swapping blocks on my 45 B with a bored block, and had to swap studs over. I see many go into the water jacket. I assume putting liquid Teflon on them wouldn't hurt anything, but from what I can find it isn't needed other than certain studs in the head for the manifold. All the block studs...

    Unstyled A transmission gear noise

All gears equally when under load. Talking anything from pulling a wagon so heavy it will stall out down do driving up an incline unloaded. The noise is always there unless coasting or dead flat ground.

    Unstyled A transmission gear noise

I am running 140wt specifically for that reason. I plan to pull it all down soon and replace any worn parts with ones out of a 37 parts transmission. Just wondered how loud they normally are.

    Unstyled A transmission gear noise

To all those with a 34-38 Deere A. How noisy is your transmission? I have a number of classic tractors and I am concerned about the amount of gear noise from my 36 A. While pulling the drive side of the gears is pretty significantly noisy. Of ccourse when coasting or with no load it goes nearly...

1936 Deere A popping out of L range

Hooked the A up to my 5ft tumblebug and gave it a real workout. Still pops out of low range, just takes more of a load to do it. Any advice other than remove the shaft and weld up the detent further over?

1936 Deere A popping out of L range

Slot wasn't concave just dirty. Made a tool on lathe and mill, whacked it with a hammer, gave it a twist and got it adjusted. Pulled my 1/2 ton truck across the driveway and back while it was in park and the tractor didn't even notice. Thanks so much to all that helped!!!!!
