Some great vacation
Took a weeks vacation this week. 11 days in a row if you figure the holiday in. 1974 ford Problems
Not sure about about ford, I have always ran GM. GM used a resistor in the ignition feed when the motor was running, dropped the ignition voltage to 6 volts. Only had 12 volts when starting. If the resistor went out the vehicle would rapidly burn up a set of points. Might pay to check your wireing. -

Old shallow well silted in
When I used to replace my point everv 3 years (pre- deep well I would pull a lot of sand and junk up with the point. I used a garden hose all the way down to the dirt, 45 ft and raised and lowered the hose rapidly to pump the dirt out. New it was clear when it would not pump any more water up... -

Fixing a BIG weld
Lanse BE CAREFULL You will be welding on alloy forks,which in the case of a problem can be a big liability.Can't ad vise on the alloy,but I don't think 60 or 70 rod will match up. -

snow-plow problem
Last year I had similar problems with my Meyers plow on a Blazer. Finally determined it was H2O in the system. Every time I plowed in cold weather I had to spend some time with the plow control in front of a heater. This year as suggested in the manual I flushed the entire system with Kerosene... -

Cold Blooded Truck
I have a 95 GMC that when I had the tranny rebuilt would not start while up on the rack. Of course they replaced the starter. I later found they added a 12 ga ground wire from the frame to the ex manifold. I had a fire in that wire when the real problem surfaced. The battery ground was attached...
