    Pump 3362F490 uses spring code 4, pump 3362F460 uses spring code 7. There can also be governor weight/control arm wear issues causing sluggish action too.

    As an old MF mechanic it sounds to me like the hydraulic IPTO clutch pack is wrecked. Lift cover, rear trans/diff case split and pumps removal are needed before the IPTO assembly will come out. With engine OFF the PTO shaft should turn by hand because the PTO brake will be OFF with NO hydraulic...

    The DPS is NOTHING like the DPA pumps are top cover wise. The scroll plate fuel control plunger is a challenge on the work bench and test stand and I would NOT attempt putting the cover back on with the pump on engine. The later DP 200 series are worse yet. I won't do "patch jobs" on either DPA...

    A low idle speed makes the lope worse. What shape are the camshaft/oil pump drive gears in? If they are worn sharp, the extra gear lash in the injection pump drive WILL cause the lope at idle if those parts were not replaced. The last 4020 I repaired needed a new camshaft and oil pump drive...
