I am thinking of using the cross member of the loader to tie it down, the State Patrol says I can't use the bucket as a tie down.

    International 404 Tach cable

Thank you, that's was what I was thinking also, if my drive is bad I will then worry about pulling the distributor and hope I have better luck in getting the housing apart.

Single Acting Cylinder used as a Double Acting

My motivation for this is that my tractor, a International 404,does not have a single acting control valve with float detent. but it does have an open bank to connect the hose too. My local Case Dealership says it would cost up the $300 dollars to convert and may affect my loader.

Single Acting Cylinder used as a Double Acting

Just wondering, can you take the vent out of a Rowse mower lift cylinder, attach another hose and make it into a double acting cylinder?

I can connect the hose no problem I just can't get it to do anything. the rowse manual calls for a single acting control valve with float detent and now I am wondering if the my 404 has that or if I can adjust the control valve to make it single acting with float detent.

I have a 1963 International 404 which I just recently got and found a Rowse 9 ft sickle mower with a New Holland head that I am trying to attach the Hydraulic hose...
