I'm having a hard time finding the part number for the lower seal #28 or who would have one. YT does not specify lower shaft seal. Disreguard - I found it on ebay by size. Thanks! -

I am wondering if the upper and lower seals are the same? If the upper seal seats in the bottom of the shaft housing - then I replaced that one with the shaft seal repair kit I used. I'm having a hard time finding the part number for the lower seal #28 or who would have one. YT does not... -

You are correct in ALL guesses!! I apologize, It is a 1962 4 cyl gas Industrial 4000 loader w/back hoe. I did put all the plungers in correctly and will replace the two seals. and o-rings for sure. One spring was broken in half and will see if I can get one of those as well... -

Wanted to get power steering working and replaced shaft seal repair kit and replaced lower o-ring of steering valve etc. However when I pulled valve up - of course small pistons/springs and two ball bearings fell out of valve. I put it all back what I thought was correct but it leaks heavy out... -

That's really good to hear about the axle clunk. I was very nervous about a major axle issue. I also need to check brakes - not stopping good at all but saw they are simple drum brakes. Another question: :D My son noticed a pretty good leak under the steering wheel and we have no power... -

Update: SUCCESS! So after finding a good pair of used connecting rod bolts ($16 each) (YT did not have any and Mark and Jesse were not able to find any either - Roberts ultimately came thru) we tried to put them on and found the connecting rod itself bent slightly from the pounding with just... -

Unfortunately, I discovered this was a previously repaired situation! I found a repaired hole in block behind starter motor for same piston that is the issue now and the crank journal is worn as well as rod bearings. I do not have the money or facilities to do an engine overhaul now, so my... -
