    Which way

Yeah Bob I made the mistake of going to you tube and watching a guy take it out. Apparently it was a spoof on how NOT to take it out. He used hammers and punches and screwdrivers to try to pry it out and he never did get it out. I hope I haven't screwed it up.

Can someone pleas tell me which way I turn this cap to get to the end of the keeper? Clockwise or counter clockwise? Does the rise on the keeper turn into the body? Thank you for the help.

    screw sets

Thanks guys. Bill, I'll give Steiner's a look. Kevin, my local dealer is a jerk. They charge freight on orders that come in on their regular deliveries so I try not to deal with them. I've never heard of Pilot Knob but I'll look them up. Thanks again. Dan

    4430 oil pressure

Thanks, Larry & Tim. I'll test it the way Tim said then go from there. It has 7900 hrs. on it. I would guess there has been no overhaul during that time. It doesn't smoke or burn oil but does have some blow by. Thanks again.

    4430 oil pressure

My friend has a 4430 that has good oil pressure when it first starts up, but, goes down really low when it gets hot. He has to keep the rpms at about 1000 just to keep the gauge out of the red. He's running 15/40 oil with some lucas additive. I checked the archives to see if anyone had ever...

    Sunday Morning Devotionals

When I was a young man in OK, I hauled many bales of alfalfa. There were many times I would turn a bale over to pick it up and see a snake baled up in the hay staring up at me. That always did put a little brown spot in my britches. I hate snakes.

    G6 Diesel

Thanks guys. I'm starting to get excited about pickin her up. This is basically a one owner because the original owner died and his son has it now and never did anything with it after his father died. For the longest time he wouldn't even talk about selling it. It's probably the straightest G6...

    Help

I can't answer that question. I really don't understand why the marks are there, but there were 3 very capable mechanics there who saw the marks and agreed that they were caused by the valves. The pistons are flat.
