I've got a 130 with the same PITA safety feature. I haven't got mad enough yet to look into disabling it but I think the switch might be around the PTO lever. You can back up without using that button if the blades are off. So that makes me think it is the position of that lever that triggers...- dmoore464

Can Anyone Help Identify Engine?
Well, I'm glad that it seems I don't have a vertical shaft engine mounted on its end. If anyone has one of these engines with the proper dipstick, it would be a great help if they could measure to see how far below the oil fill hole the oil level should be. Can Anyone Help Identify Engine?
I bought an old log splitter. It has a horizontal shaft engine on it. I'll try to post pics after this if I can. The shroud says it is an 11 hp Briggs, Model 272707 Type 0136-01 Code 78030. From what I have seen so far on the web, these engines are vertical shaft and not horizontal. I'm not...- dmoore464
