Powdercoating anyone?
Hopefully enough. I glass bead everything. When I did the calipers I took them completely apart and put old used pistons in for "plugs" and taped them in so to keep powder out of the seal groove. If I don't get to coat something right away after blasting sometimes I have to put the part(s)...- Don B.

Figures I just found 1 more "half of a door hinge" that I missed when I redid those "wrong color" ones. I also found another oven I might go for if it's still available in a couple of days it's bigger and a double oven besides I'm not yet ready to commit to a dedicated *purpose built " PC...- Don B.

I thought e coat was pretty much "powdercoating" because of the electric charge for getting the powder to stick before it has a chance to be melted/ baked on- Don B.

Powdercoating anyone?
I have 1 more part I'd like to redo, a gas tank for a Kohler generator that I finally found a replacement for.... It had a plastic tank cap on it that I left in place as a "plug" to keep powder out. It didn't take 400* very well, and melted, I had a molten gas cap on fire in the bottom of the...- Don B.

Powdercoating anyone?
I have glass beaded everything I want it to stay onto. and most I have also sprayed with Eastwood "PRE" cleaner which Im 98%sure is the same thing as ospho. On the rotors (which are brand new but probably at least 30 years old) I didnt glass bead the pad surface. I don't want it to stick...- Don B.

Thinking about building a truck from basically scratch
I'm hoping so... If i live that long that'll make me 109.... We did just buy the wife a (too much) newer truck with a hemi and more doodads than any truck ever needed to have since her Durango got "totaled" by that hailstorm and all it's doing is making me more anxious to get my 83 back on the...- Don B.

Had to get more gray powder for the hubs of my new rotors and the backing plates on the rear end. I did the rotors today, (3/4 ton truck with old style inner and outer wheel bearings not a hub with a slip on rotor) Gonna have to scout the garage sales for a bigger oven I see .. Not quite Actually Sperry new Holland originally designed that series of tractors and ariens "bought the line" around 1973-74. I believe they were sold under both brands for a couple of years after ariens bought the line from Sperry. The earliest ariens had the vichers hydro as well before...- Don B.

Thinking about building a truck from basically scratch
Ok a little progress I found a different machine shop that is accepting work, and ran down both of my engines that I have in pieces. Not in huge rush but tired of being put in indefinite hold. At least want my stuff evaluated and told what machine work I need so I got a feeling what that part...- Don B.

That was a feature of all of those rear engine snappers they had a big bumper of sorts exactly for standing on end- Don B.
