    1086 digital tach

    Tach stopped working. Sent to be repaired. After repairing reinstalled and it worked fine for about 15 min. I called the co. that repaired was told they only replaced some defective bulbs other than that it worked fine. Have power to the unit. Any suggestions?

    Check for poor ground where? Flasher is working off same switch.

    1086 batteries loosing charge

    Thanks to all that replied. My problem was the 2 wire alternator plug. I recently changed the alternator and batteries and the plug had no markings or anyway to show the correct way to plug in so I had reversed it when I put it in the alt. Thanks again everyone. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

    I have a 1086 W/cab and the batteries are loosing charge after sitting for acouple of days. The batteries sre new and have been checked. Any ideas or reccomendations?

    1086 cab lining

    I am restoring a 1981 1086. I started taking the old cab lining out and found tis blak insulation that turns to a powdery lke substance. I would like to know if this is asbestos?
