NAPA Gold 1010 is the one I"ve been using too. I"ve had good luck with it.

    Starts but wont run

I had much the same problem with my TO-30 a couple years ago. I finally found the mesh screen on the brass fitting that screws into the carburetor body was nearly plugged. The cylindrical mesh screen is located inside the carburetor body and you can't tell it is there until the fitting is removed.

    Snow Plow for a TO20

When I bought my TO-30 a number of years ago the previous owner had a snow/bulldozer type blade mounted on the front. The frame attached under the rear axle and extended out front and attached to the blade. The rig was raised and lowered with cables attached to the 3-point lift arms, passed...

    1963 JD 4010 weep holes

Those weep holes are your friend. Someone had plugged the holes on the 1967 4020D I bought three years ago to replace one lost in a machine shed fire. I found coolant in the oil pan this spring while field cultivating. Nearly $12,000 later it runs and works like new. The weep holes are open now.

Any stories about 70,720 or 730

My Dad got a new 60 in about 1953, before that we had Bs and at one time an unstyled A. None of those tractors had power steering. My uncle wanted me to cultivate corn for him using his 70 with power steering. I'd never operated a tractor with power steering before. I think he endedup with...

    1936 A #52 plow

I was hoping to get my #52 A-B-H plow ready to use behind my "53 60 but the ground got hard first. I remember my Dad plowing with a "26 D JD back in the "40s. He"d put on long underwear, layers of overalls, a long sheepskin coat, 5-buckle overshoes, gloves and mittens, and then put a rug on...

    Plow ID

Ford, Ferguson and Dearborn made nearly identical plows. I have a Dearborn 2-14" with a blue Ford tailwheel. When I was a kid we had a 2-14" Ferguson plow. Other than the color it is hard to tell them apart.

    Dearborne cordwood saw specs

I have one I have never used. It is a Category I 3-pt mount, flat belt driven unit. It came with my Ferguson TO-30. It hasn't been cleaned and painted, but I think it is complete. I could take pictures of it if it would help you.

    Lister Planter?

The frame on the lister planter looks much like the frame for a rigid shank 2-row cultivator.

Re: Got my first Tractor TO-35 - have some basic questions

Great looking TO-35, and with loader and backhoe yet. I was about 12 years old when my Dad bought a TO-30. I was able to get one a few years ago. Now I lust for a TO-35.

Thanks for the leads on JD ground driven corn binders.

    Corn Binder Restoration

I have a corn binder in the grove that still worked 50-55 years ago. All the wood parts have rotted off. Does anyone know where I can find operator/service/parts manuals for it? I'm sorry this isn't a tractor question, but I don't know where else to go for information.

    1951 TO-30

I had much the same problem with my TO-30. It wasn't until I removed the brass fitting on the side of the carburetor that I discovered the cylindrical screen inside the carburetor body was half-plugged with crud. It would run at idle, but when under load on a grain auger or when plowing it...
