One wire alternators have built in regulators and are internalwire for the senseing lead wire, the wire that tells the regulator to charge. the battery must be good for the alt. to charge, you can short the regulator use a small screwdriver in the "D" shaped hole on the back side of alt. Genecfc Thanks for the info, I alrady had the end cap and snap ring off of the cylinder. But the rod will not come out, I did get new seals and installed and have the cylinders working again. So I guess as long as the cylinders work not being able to get the rest of it apart won't matter for...- DonFL

wire feed gas flux
the flux and gas do the same job, shielding the weld, gas gives a cleaner weld,no flux to clean off the weld. You can weld with gas and flux wire, it will give the weld the same as flux welding and just waste your gas.- DonFL

Case 580c Hydraulic pump
"SNOBOL" Toilet bowl cleaner , It contains "Hydrochloric acid" try to keep from grtting in on anything else ,it is an acid, even if not very strong, and after you are done make a baking soda and water wash, and was any thing you got the Snobol on, to neutralise the acid. It works most of the time.- DonFL
