Thanks for the reply Old. I'm still wondering what I'm supposed to hook up the drain cock hole: a hose, a pressure washer? Let it run with hose hooked up it? Not sure what you mean. Thanks, Doug -

Hi Everyone, my 640 overheats easily, especially on hot days. I know I've seen discussion/steps to back flush the engine block/cooling system here somewhere. I can't find anything on the subject offhand. Could someone please direct me to the proper steps? I think I remember something about... -

Ford 640 running hot
Thanks a bunch for the advice, guys! I did not flush the block as you described. I pretty much just ran water with a hose through the radiator and let it come out the bottom of the block, then filled with vinegar solution, heated it up, let it sit and "flushed" again.I will try flushing through... -

It Should NOT be this hard!
Were you making a single or double flare on the tubing? Maybe the fuel shutoff requires a double flared end rather than a single flared end, or vise versa? -

Hi everyone, I mow with an old Woods 5' brush hog and my ford 640 has been running hot. It was about 80 deg. today in western ny. I've already flushed the radiator and core with vinegar water. The old anti freeze didn't look all that bad. It was brown like tea but no sludge. The thermostat is... -
