    F4 magneto questions

Charlie Yes the impulse definitely works. Checking the cap for moisture was the first thing I did. I've actually encountered that problem before. Right now I have the mag completely disassembled. I may not have used the correct terminology, but the rotor shaft I'm referring too is the shaft...

    F4 magneto questions

After mostly working out of the area for a year I went out to crank the F14. So it's been sitting for a year. No spark. Here's what I've done. Pulled the mag so I could check the points and all the obvious things. I've determined the coil, condenser, and all that stuff is good. I actually...

    F-12 radiator core

I bought one from this site a couple years ago. It fit perfectly.

    F-12 to f-14 conversion

I have one of those F12's with the conversion. Just reading over the other comments it looks like they have covered everything that I know of that was done. Sure wish I had the one in the pictures above !

    Dumb parts counter people! (Rant)

I was a Deere parts person for about 12 years. I knew my stuff. The reality is, the job doesn't pay very well, which is why I stopped doing it. It is also the reason places can't get people who actually know something about the products they sell. Hence it makes sense that you will...

OT - UPS / USPS Merger, I can't believe it...

I've seen that several times at our local post office. The one time I was the most surprised though, was when I standing at the customer service counter in the Post Office and the UPS driver (who I know) came walking in with some packages and laid them on the counter. I looked at the packages...

    F20 Info/ maybe repower?

If you are mechanically inclined, it doesn't cost that much to rebuild these old engines. It just seems to me it would be easier than trying to retro-fit something else to it. just mho

    James Williams

Hey James thanks for the link. My F14 hasn't been painted yet. Sitting ready for a job just couldn't decide between gray, it's original color, or red. Couldn't find a gray I liked so the decision has been hard to make. I can assume that if IH only made small batches of paint at one time, in...

    Identification - Farmall B ?

Thanks for the input. I haven't looked it over very good yet. Not that I would have known where to look for a serial number anyway. Maybe I can scrap off some blue, yellow, red and green paint and find it !! James - I guess I could drive to W. VA. but I have pretty expensive taste when it...

    Identification - Farmall B ?

Haven't posted here in quite awhile, but I do check in from time to time. Anyway - I rescued this little jewel today from going to the scrap yard. Literally. Loaded it off his trailer and on to mine in the road in front of the scrap metal place. Cost. $0.00. Just told him I liked to...

    1936 Farmall F12

The rear wheels are not original. They are cut down steels with a rim welded to them. Factory originals were F&H with round spokes. I don't think the manifold is correct for an all fuel. I have an all fuel F12 (converted to an F14) and the original manifold from mine looks nothing like that...

Just bought an F-12, 1st restoration any suggestions?

I just rebuilt mine about a year ago. Top to bottom and end to end except for the transmission. For as little as it costs I'd just go ahead and rebuild the engine. You'll know what you have then for years to come. But that's just me.

Just bought an F-12, 1st restoration any suggestions?

ignore Tom 43. He's an idiot. Just search around the site, you can easily verify that. The F12 is great old tractor to restore. Easy to work on. There's lots of knowledge guys here who can answer any question you have.
