750-ish CCA battery (AGM), *OR* a Flooded cell bettery with higher (850-1000-ish) CCA rating?

So i am needing a new battery in my 2019 (?) MF 4710 tractor. The OEM battery was oddly only 475 CCA and lasted probably 4 years, can't remember the brand name, just that it was seemingly excessively expensive for its specs (though again, it did last a while...) The dealership recommended...

Can I add a hydraulic cylinder for lifting this grain dr

I know its about 2 years later, but can you elaborate how to do so? I have a spare 3 point hitch mount, but theres no diamond bar on the drill to mount it to

Farmall 504 Diesel, blown head gasket: sell/part out, or try to fix myself?

I was thinking to just try it, ive never understood why people around my parts basically condemn a tractor after the head gasket blows. I mean it doesnt look like a *simple job*, but from watching videos, it isnt exactly like refurbishing a nuclear reactor either

Farmall 504 Diesel, blown head gasket: sell/part out, or try to fix myself?

I like the shoebox idea, otherwise i already do that when disassembling stuff, either with various jelly/PB/coffee jars, or these nice thick 6mm or so ziplock bags that I can label and number.

Upgrading from 63A to 103A alternator

It definitely get hot, but according to the coolant temp gauge (which is replaced recently so I believe is accurate), it doesnt get above 180-190 (normal use), or 190-200 (plowing)

Farmall 504 Diesel, blown head gasket: sell/part out, or try to fix myself?

So the head gasket is def blown. It hasn't been ran much since it became apparent (other than moving it to another part of the yard <50ft away, several times). I was intending to try the blue devil head gasket repair formula as a last ditch effort (not much to lose right?) BUT, unfortunately...

Upgrading from 63A to 103A alternator

I don't think the pulleys should be worn in any case, the alternator in question is that 63A fast start that this site sells, its <2 years old

Upgrading from 63A to 103A alternator

Ok, shouldn't be a problem, I got a couple hundred basically new belts in an auction a while back, chances are one of em will work. Does it matter if the belt is notched or smooth?

Upgrading from 63A to 103A alternator

Is there any way of tightening other than just loosening the top bolt and pulling it away from the tractor to tension? Because unfortunately that is as tight as I can get it

Upgrading from 63A to 103A alternator

Yeah I think I'll start with that and inspecting the belt as well, thanks

Upgrading from 63A to 103A alternator

The blower isn't even hooked up yet, the person before me had janky wiring and spray painted it all red, and my photos weren't sufficient so I couldn't really reconnect it correctly

Upgrading from 63A to 103A alternator

I'll check that out, though I know the belt is fairly new as I replaced that as well when i put the alt on but maybe its slipping.

Upgrading from 63A to 103A alternator

Honestly when I replaced it a year or two ago I was at the knowledge level and point i was sorta just connecting wires and crossing my fingers I have a better understanding of electrical work now, but alternators still not so much. Also I tore out the regulator and associated stuff and used...
