    12 volt conversion

    check the action at the points as roadrunner suggested. It is possible the condenser was on its way out and the higher voltage killed it. Without a functioning condenser, you will have the normal current values at rest, but there will be no spark at the plugs.

    I have a "53 Ferguson TEA which uses the Standard Motor Company's wet sleeve engine. It looks like the bearings and other service parts are the same as the Triumph TR3. Can anyone confirm if this is so ?
