fuel pump on a 3414 gas international

I have 1965? international 3414 gas with a zenith n carb. on it. I have replaced the fuel pump (mechanical) in the past and replaced it with a pump that they told me required a pressure regulator set at 3pds. I have gone through two regulators that the rubber diaphragm has gone bad. This could...

    muffler on 3414 gas international

I have a stock muffler on my 3414 gas loader tractor that is very loud. Is there a muffler that is fairly quite that I can put on or will that effect the engine operation? It sounds like an old farmall pulling a plow. It is a vertical exhaust so looks are to be considered. Thanks Darold

    Heating a tempered keeper key

Yes that is how it is made. The hook was broke off of mine so I bent the end up enough by putting a little heat to it and than used a small vice grip to grip it. I was able to move it on around and out by tapping the vice grip with a small hammer. It is a ok way to build a clean looking...

    Heating a tempered keeper key

I was afraid I would break it off as there is about a 5/8" slot to work with. I put some heat on it and got a small vise grips on it and with light tapping got it out ok. the 1/4'' bend on the end was broke and I got it out also. Thanks for your interest. Darold

    Heating a tempered keeper key

I have a 2 1/2inch diameter hydraulic cylinder off of my 3414 international tractor that's leaking. The cylinder has a curved tempered keeper 3/32" wide x 3/32"deep x 8" long+- with a 1/4" 90 degree hook bent on the end that secures the cyl. head. It is inserted through a short slot at the top...

'57 Farmall 230 with hyd. pump problem....

I just finished replacing O-rings and the shaft seal on my 3414. I found the seal kit at bates international. Take pictures as you take the pump apart so it goes back in order and keep it clean. This stopped the oil to the crank case on mine. You-Tube has several videos of taking hydraulic...

    3414 international hydra. bucket cylinder

I have a leak in the 2 1/2'' bucket cyl. The#378 740 R1 Key, front head retaining, has the end bent so it won't catch in the grove hole to advance the ring key around so I can get ahold of the tail to raise and turn the key on around and out. It is bent on about a 45 degree angle instead of a...

    breaking loose small painted bolts

No, these are studs that take a star wrench and are hard to get a wire wheel to.

    breaking loose small painted bolts

What is the best way to remove small painted bolts that are painted over. This is on a older tractor that has been repainted. The bolt heads 1/4inch in dia.

hydraulic oil in crank case oil

Thanks Hal. I have a parts manual that diagrams a pump that shows one line to the power steering pump but the one on the tractor has a extra line going to the rear end, could be for an auxiliary, I will have to check closer. The tractor holds 8 gals. of oil and has only one tank for it. It is...

hydraulic oil in crank case oil

In my 3414 international I suspect hydraulic oil is leaking into the crank case from the power steering pump located on the right hand side of the gas engine. This pump also pumps oil back to the three point hitch. Could oil get to the crankcase from the three point hitch also? Is there any way...
