    Isuzu 3LD1 engine overheating

We have a newer little squirt boom forklift at work that was running warm. We found it had thrown all of the plastic blades on the fan. The radiator is very difficult to see amongst all the hydraulics/ducting/hoses/boom and whatnot. In a warmer climate it would have overheated.

    Vehicles Around The Farm

We use a pair of Honda fourwheelers, a GMC snowplow with gin poles, a 4105 Deere with a loader, the 9N, the Deere riding mower, and a 40-year-old Unimog that will soon get a cat2 three point and a tipper.

Not Sure The Seller Knows & So What Transmission Is This

So the transmission pictured is a late 9N/2N? When was the straight-to-angle gear change? The only N I have been in is my 1941.

Not Sure The Seller Knows & So What Transmission Is This

I don't know what aux transmission that is, but I do know that is a 3speed 9N/2N, so it likely has a straight-cut output. Your 8N has angled.

ring gear heating methods that have worked for you

I used a fire pit full of embers with the ring gear on top and covered with more wood and then fanned until most of the gear had some color. However I did notice the ring was not very round while placing it on the flywheel, but three years now so far so good.

I made my own forks from a dead pallet jack and a little welding. I also added a 2-5/16 ball for moving gooseneck trailers.

With all of the underground pipes at the plant, it is now policy to dig trenches with a vacuum truck.

    Need Ferguson cross shaft measurements

I received most of a Ferguson 12B two bottom plow with my 1941 9N, and it is missing the cross shaft. There isn't much farming equipment up here in Alaska to measure, and I'm hoping someone can post dimensions of their cross shaft so I can forge one (probably out of a car swaybar). Thanks for...

    OT: Buick carb

Just remove the screw on the choke valve crank. There are two hidden screws under the choke valve. Also push in the accellerator pump pivot pin just enough to clear the arm. Between the big secondary air valve are the secondary rods and their hanger; remove that too.

    Very Tight Oil seals

I could roll my crank by hand until I put the pan on, then it took 40 ft-lbs.

Found lost tools by side of road

Somebody's lowered tailgate threw out a floorjack, and the daughter found a stainless 300winmag with scope and a roadrash while jogging.

    OT - 89 GMC 2500

Those were known to have poor intake manifold gaskets, and some of them had headgasket problems, too.
