What next for the Gehl slide shows?

Darn near Mr Not! Darn near. Still dry. Getting warmer maybe... :D The Diesel 4610 huh? There's one of those around here. I'd like to test own one. Someday. Heck, who am I kidding? I can't even get in and out of my Pinto-powered 4510 anymore. So son has it.

    Gehl slide shows anyone??

This'll be fun! I'll wet myself if you show an old skid loader like my 4510. Music is about right too.

Literature---1920's Twin City 12-20 Tractor Brochure

Nice early brochure! Thanks for showing us Craig, hadn't seen this one before! Mr Not, I think I know that fella you mentioned. He's different, if he's who I'm thinking about. Neat engines in the twin cams: 12-20/17-28: 4-1/4 X 6, 16 valve, twin cam, 340 cubes four cylinder running at 1000 rpm...

    Silo for Saturday

Spose it's economics. Back when a new steel roof was around 10K, it was thought it couldn't be afforded. A big building like that would be golden for storage, workshops etc. Striking pics. Thank you Mr Not.

    Dangerous tractors

Some people are why the "Carry Load Low" is/was on many pieces of equipment. Back when local news was just news, they showed a pic af a tipped over tractor a fella had just lost it all on. Of course, the loader was high in the air.

    Waukesha XAH info?

Was that good-lookin' A-2 a fire truck? It's red and siren still in place... I have a 40's or so XAH from a Gehl one row corn chopper here in the garage, rods and pistons in a cupbord, timing gears removed and used in a 1929 XA as they're the same. Starter block off plate I put on the XA must've...

    I need a computer expert

Have an older hard drive from a home vista machine and it suddenly asked for a password. I had already switched over to Linux so that wasn't a problem. It simply meant windows was no-more to me. For saving your files at least: Have a laptop or another computer with a CD burner? Or know someone...

    20 hp Kohler command?

Another grain of salt: Kohlers and engine oil. We used the 18. 20, 22 and 25 Commands. We were using two different oils. 10-30 oil for the Kohlers and 10-30 Diesel oil for...the Diesels of course. Purchasing agent was lazy, wanted to know if we could just use the Diesel oil for all engines...

    20 hp Kohler command?

My take and it's worth nothing more a grain of salt. Fully agree on a lifter that bleeds-down too quickly, basically shutting the valve off for a few moments. Or an exhaust valve that hangs up a little. Not stuck. Like IH eludes to: If an intake valve, you should get barking back in those ten...

    Forage wagon update.....

Sure, I remember the swinging two-door Dokken boxes at our last silo fillings. The first silage came out as a wall, wiggling the hopper and hitting our legs like a hammer. Clean it up. When big enough, you lift and lower the hopper. But I had thought maybe, just maybe I had been around one...

Flat drive belt for lathe... Any sources?

Those Clipper lacings are perfect but one needs the machine to install them correctly.

Flat drive belt for lathe... Any sources?

Here's what I did a few years ago. The serpentine belt must be about 1-1/4" X 36" or so. You'd need to cut it anyway to get your length. Didn't need to tear the lathe apart either. I used stainless safety locking wire, drilled the holes and tied it sort of like leather lacings from a hundred yrs...

    Wico xb external coil

If I may and it won't be seen as acceptable. Using an external coil isn't as wacky as some may think. I don't know how well your XB would lend itself to an external coil but a fellow and I (unbeknownst to each other) did the same in a completely different situation almost 40 years ago. He and I...
