    deere 318 finally checked the netural swtich by bypassing it and it did not help. Cleaned battery terms. and still no go. Thinking it might be side mounted selenoid. again , thanks for you help

    Used the tractor to plow snow and everything was OK. Went out the other day to plow some more and couldn't get starter to engage. (dead)I have lights and lots of battery. I am thinking the netural switch. How does one check it. thanks for your time John

    It sounds like you need an ignition delay module. The part costs approx $20 and is very easy to install.

    I would like to know the gasket # for the gasket from the oil Filter housing to the engine block and were you can obtain the gasket. Thanks for your help.

    oil leak JD 318 B43G onan

    I have an oil leak were the oil filter unit bolts onto the engine block. Question is do I have to pull the engine to tighten the two bolts that are loose holding the oil filter unit onto the block? I had the same problem last year and pulled the unit to find the leak. I tightened it back up...
