2n restoration paint question
I'm finally moving into the paint phase of the resto on my beloved 2N. There is SO much info out there, much of it conflicting. I want to use the best product, period. 2N Video - turn up the sub!
Just for fun...this is me on my 2N which had it's first start in over 10 years the day before. Didn't really do too much to it - just replaced the carb. Before I stored it I changed the oil and dumped a litre of Slick 50 into her. I think if anything that preserved the moving parts etc. Anyway...- Dunnett

Hole in transmission case?
No offense - and as I mentioned I was prepared for the onslaught! ;) I assumed by the way the pins were installed that it was either a factory install or someone had taken the time to install a homemade fix. Now, when one of YOU tractor guys has a newbie drum question...- Dunnett

Serial # conundrum
Tranny is a 3 speed. What I find interesting as I have not seen in ANY picture of any Ford N is the pull type ignition switch. More pics - I will post a web page with all ofthe images of this tractor this week. And thanks for all of your interest / help!- Dunnett

Not a surprise, but I'm not up to speed on the manufacturing process Ford used. I have one image of the area where the serial should be stamped, but there's not much there. I'll have to get a closer look next time I'm at the farm.- Dunnett

Hole in transmission case?
OK - I'll probably feel like an idiot after this questions is answered but.... Upon inspecting the underside of my 2N/9N's transmission I discovered 2 holes that had cotter pins placed in them. I'm at a loss on this...- Dunnett
