    Sleeve Overbore? Help!?

I bought one of those on eBay a couple of years ago. Well worth the hundred bucks and then I didn't have to mess around trying make something.

    Farmall M high idle

I think the issue is governor related. I rebuilt my engine on my M along with the carb and it did a similar thing. Ran and high rpms and would not throttle down. Had to adjust the governor. At some point in it's many years someone else must have adjusted the governor to compensate for the...

    Farmall hot air intake

A properly running m should have no issues with carb icing in the winter. A good working thermostat is key to this because if the thermostat is stuck open it will never get up to operating temp. I have an M that had carb icing issues in the winter and my dad made a similar thing to blow hot...

    Security camera advice

It really depends on what you have available for power and internet connectivity at this location. There is a lot of smart home stuff like door, motion, and window sensors. But all require internet to monitor remotely and can possibly piggy back off of an existing smart home setup if you have...

What fuel do you run in a Farmall F 20?

If your tractor sits for long periods of time it would be best to use non oxygenated gas. Around here in MN that is only available in 91 octane. May be different in other parts of the country. The fuel without ethanol in it will help the carb from gumming up.

    Rear main seal

In looking at it this morning it was hard to tell what exactly is causing the leak. I pulled the belly pump cover off and the transmission seals are definitely leaking. I also noticed a puddle of oil on the floor from where I stopped briefly as I was pulling into the shop last night and the...

    Rear main seal

Thanks for the info and pictures. I'll be climbing under the tractor today and pull the little cover off under the transmission and try to see what I see. Maybe I'll get lucky and it's just leftover oil left in the belly pump-Murphy usually keeps me from getting that lucky though... Not...

    Rear main seal

Is there anything else back there that would leak and look like it is a rear main?

    Rear main seal

Can't seem to find a straight answer. Can you replace the rear main seal on a Farmall m without splitting the tractor?

Building a 3 point hitch for an m farmall

Save yourself the trouble and just buy one. It's well worth the price. Good used ones are to be had if you don't want to buy new. I just saw a saginal on Craigslist for $500 Take it from someone who has a home made one-if they aren't done to the standard spec as they should (mine is not). You...

    Farmall M Tisco Sleeve

If you cracked a sleeve during install you should check that the bore is good and clean before installing. I found that out the hard way on 2 of mine when I redid it a couple of years ago. Bore was not clean enough and it took 2 sleeves for me to figure that out. Once it was cleaned the...

3 point top link mount possibility

I have a M that has a unusual 3 point that my dad made 30 some years ago. He never used it as a 3 point just the drawbar that he put on it at the end of the arms. We'll now that I have it I want to use it as a 3 point with my back blade and mower. I bought a quick hitch to adapt to it because...

    Farmall M Sleeves

Just make sure the bore is clean. Would not hurt to run a hone up and down to clean out the crud in there. If you do this plus freeze them overnight they should slide right in with minimal effort

    Farmall M sleeve

You may want to run a honey up and down the bore of the block to clean it up and get the crud out before putting the sleeve in. I ran into the same thing when I rebuild mine and had to do that.
