    PTO Issue

I found the problem. When I originally put the shifter plate back on, the pto shaft was in the on position and I didn't realize it. Took the plate off and used a crowbar to move the shaft toward the back of the tractor. Put the plate back on and everything is good to go! As a matter of fact...

    PTO Issue

I have recently had my Ford NAA Golden Jubilee split apart to replace two gears in the transmission. I have since replace the gears and put the tractor back together. Everything is fine except for the PTO. When the tractor is running and put in gear, the PTO engages like it's supposed to. The...

Ford NAA Brake Issue Clutch Issue

after much torching and banging, torching and banging, banging and MORE banging (oh wait, I almost forgot plenty of drilling of the pin also), I finally got the pin out! Installed the new arm and a 5/16 hardened bolt to replace the pin. OMG, the clutch pedal is WAY better now! About ready to get...

Ford NAA Brake Issue Clutch Issue

I don't see a key on the release arm. If there were a key, I should see a slot for it at the end of the shaft, right? I tried tapping the pin toward the front of the tractor. That bugger didn't move a millimeter. I am thinking that I may need to drill the pin out. If there is a way to salvage...

Ford NAA Brake Issue Clutch Issue

Okay, after doing a bit more research. I am now familiar with what a roll pin is. I don't believe the pin I have is a roll pin. It is solid at both ends. Hope this better helps you!

Ford NAA Brake Issue Clutch Issue

The key keeps the pedal from moving on the shaft, right? I cannot see a key. All I see is a pin. Cannot remember if the pin goes through the shaft or not. As far as I can see, it is just a simple matter of driving the roll pin out one way or the other or is this wrong?

Ford NAA Brake Issue Clutch Issue

I should have said friction disc. I try to proofread my stuff before posting. Apparently my proofreading failed.

Ford NAA Brake Issue Clutch Issue

That's the problem jjinga. Got on the floor in the barn and looked at the underside of the clutch release arm. Got a big old crack in it! Thank you very much. Now gotta figure out how to get the old one off and order another one from here.

Ford NAA Brake Issue Clutch Issue

I have recently put my tractor back together after replacing two gears in the transmission. Upon putting it back together, I have two problems. #1) I have notices that when I push down the left side brake pedal and release it, the pedal will not come back to the top position. The brake pedal...

    Separate posts or all-in-one post

I have been working on my Naa/Golden Jubilee all year trying to get it running. It has a clutch issue and I had to replace two broken gears in the transmission. I have a clutch question and a brake question I would like to ask but don't know if I can ask them in the same post or if it would be...

    Countershaft Gear Pulling

I have the whole lower gear assembly with all the gears still on it out of my NAA/Golden Jubilee. The gear nearest the end on the countershaft is broken. Do I pull the countershaft out from that end of the assembly or do I have to pull all the gears from the other end until I get to the...

Ford NAA transmission gear puller tool

Yes Crazy, I am interested, depending on cost, of course. The two gears I need are the mainshaft 1st gear and the countershaft. Do you have those and are they in good condition?

Ford NAA transmission gear puller tool

I have my tractor torn down and both transmission gear assemblies out of the tractor. The mainshaft 1st gear and one of the gears on the countershaft have broken teeth on them. I need to know what size gear puller I need to ask for in order to get these gears off. I am not that knowledgeable...

    Clutch Issue

I got the new clutch and pad on and put the tractor back together. I have about 2" of pedal travel before the TO bearing comes in contact with the fingers. As far as I know there is no damage or looseness in the forks or linkage. What should my next step be?

    Clutch Issue

I forgot to mention that the clutch fork is not loose on the shaft at all. Left the pin alone!
