Hydralic fluid for a Hesston 70-66

After replacing some lift arm seals on my Hesston 70-66, I must replenish the hydraulic fluid. Manual calls for API 303 hydraulic but I have heard that's not the way to go. What should I use?

    Hesston 70-66 question

Everything went well till I encountered a plate that is part of the drawbar support system welded to the underside of the housing containing the shaft and partially covering two of the seven mounting bolts. Is it possible to replace seals and bushings without taking the housing off?

    Hesston 70-66 question

Thanks Harry. Wonder if you can answer this question. If the lift arms are removed, and the seven supporting bolts removed, will the lower housisg containing the shaft come off unobstructed, or are there internal bits and pieces that have to be dealt with. I really appreciate your help.

    Hesston 70-66 question

My Hesston 70-66 (AKA Fiatagri) has started to weep hydraulic fluid from a point where a lift arm attaches to the body of the tractor. Anyone have experience with this kind of problem? Any information about the nature of this repair would be greatly appreciated.

    Row crop Fergusen

I have a TO30 that I often hill potatoes with. Trouble is the tractor is so low that the plants get banged up a bit. I was wondering if Fergusen ever made a model that stood higher off the ground???

    Ferguson wants to wheelie

I can't seem to get the hang of letting the clutch out easy on my TO-30. It's either full grab or completely free. If I want to move the tractor an inch or two, I wind up going a yard. Backing up can be downright dangerous. Comments????

tricycle to wide front end, 211B

I was afraid of that. Wide front end means cultivating, hilling digging potatoes and other crops would be easier

tricycle to wide front end, 211B

I have a Case 211B tricycle wheel arrangement and would really find a wide front end much more useful. Anyone hear of this conversion being made and how problematic is it?

    Dearborn Lift Type two-way plows

Any suggestions about what I should ask for a lift type Dearborn two-way plow, model 10-14. All parts are there, stored inside for 20 years after the farmer ended his sideline of plowing neighbors gardens. Location is Western Massachusetts, not exactly a hotbed of vintage tractor restorations. I...

    Dearborn Lift Type two-way plows

I have a lift type, Dearborn Two-way plow attachment, and manual. Bought it without realizing it fits only Fords. (Ex. shown on you tube here, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvR7_qE7TTw ) Any thoughts as to what I should ask as a selling price? Mine looks better than the one on you tube. Thanks.

Can't get the steering wheel off! Ariens 934

This is a mod. 934 Ariens lawn tractor. I have to do this to get to the electricals under the dash. Parts diagrams show a pin holding it on, which I've removed, and a bolt down the center of the hub, which I don't seem to have. When I look down the center hole of the wheel, all I see is what...
