    How's this sound?

    Only use high build primer on the sheet metal, the extra material thickness on cast parts will cause it to be brittle chip & peal easily. Casted parts are sapost to be rough looking. High build is ment to be sanded to smooth minor imperfections.

    Classic would be correct for 2 cylinders, id recommend useing hardner in the paint, it's pricey from Deere so I use PPG's

    Actually the early styled (39-40) had 2spd same as unstyled, mid year Bs (41-46) had 3spd & late (47-52)had the 6spd

    He states its early styled B, that has a 3 spd trans w a high/low & no low 1st gear. The late B w staight 6 spd trans had the ultra low 1st gear!

    Carb for bored out 1949 JD A

    Good rebuilt #71 will work fine, make sure you have good flow to the carb, a larger line wont hurt. It will run on lower octain but good fuel will make difference.
