    I've got both a 856 with 18.4/38 rears and 11x16 fronts and a 826 with 16.9/38 rears and 7.50x16 fronts. The 826 seems more nimble but I think it's the tire size.     2250 Loader

    Take a fool's advice. I bought 2 tilt cylinder repair kits for my 2350 IH loader. After looking at the parts diagrams, I carried the cylinders to a local repair shop. They put the kits in for me. They told me they could have fixed it for $50 in parts instead of the $300 I spent with CaseIH...

    Farmall 504 paints

    This message is a reply to an archived post by WESnIL on August 07, 2019 at 12:25:31. The original subject was "Re: Farmall 504 paints". The white should be 901 which has a greenish tint to it. IH changed to 935 in November of 1971.

    What I found in my literature was the seat back face was white and the edges were black.

    My 826 has the original seat bottom on it and it's all white. I want to think the seat back was black and white. I'll have to check my literature. BTW my 826 has 16.9 by 38 spinouts from the factory.

    Federal Yellow Paint

    I think Wes is right. Todays Cub Cadet yellow is different from Federal Yellow. IH built Cub Cadets were federal yellow.

    454 headlights

    I'm redoing a 454 for a friend's daughter. I need to replace the headlights. The headlights sit in a rubber block. The rubber is over 45 years old and is as hard as a brick. New ones are $100 a piece. Anyone have experience with this before or an idea on how to soften up old hard rubber?

    IH gas engines didn't use timing chains, only gears.

    If you have 2 oil filters upside down on the right side it's a 312. If you have 1 filter laying down it's a 310
