3545 vs 2675 Massey Ferguson engine

I bought a 3545 MF tractor at a online auction that has lots of missing engine parts. Will a 2675 Engine bolt up to the 3545? I know it less HP but just want to make the tractor mobile again in case of other issues. Thanks

    Auction Find-Lets try it again

Sorry. Had some computer difficulties. I bought this tractor last weekend cause it was cheap. Everybody said it was stuck. Turned out the brakes were locked on and everybody tried to rock it and the engine wouldn't move. Its a 1951 John Deere MT with most of a M 20 sickle bar mower...

    High oil pressure

Thanks Rick. No same oil pump. Good question on oil reaching the rockers. I will check when I get the new gasket.

    High oil pressure

Thanks Bob. I used the same oil pump that came out of the engine. It has been sitting on my barn bench since November, so it may be very likely that the pressure relief froze. I assume its just a ball and a spring?? or is it more complicated?

    High oil pressure

Hello- I just completely rebuilt 1965 Ford 3000 diesel engine. It started up fine and when I increased engine rpm after about 15 seconds of operation, the gasket for the oil filter adapter kit blew out an oil started spewing out. I took off the adapter kit and reset the gasket and re-torqued...

    65 Ford 3000 leaking oil

thanks for the response. Definitely engine oil. Tractor still starts and runs great- I just have to add almost a quart of oil for every half hour of operation now.

    65 Ford 3000 leaking oil

I was bush hogging some brush yesterday and went over a hump with the bush hog too low and about stalled the engine when the bush hog dug in. Now I am leaking oil pretty bad and it looks like it is coming from the rear main seal (oil dripping from the cotter pin hole and face plate by oil pan)...

    Farmall Super A

My daughter and I just bought a Super A in rough condition and finally got it running. I drive it around and there is a definite "growl" coming from the transmission when I drive it around. It's not too loud, but it is distinct. Is this normal for this model? This is our 5th tractor we have...

Loud ticking on newly rebuilt engine

I posted this on the Massey forum, but I thought I would run it by everybody. 1981 MF 285 with A4.318 Diesel I just did an out of frame complete overhaul back at the house. Ran the engine off an on for a total of about 3 to 4 hours while fixing other items on the tractor (steering, hydraulics...

    MF 285 planetaries

1981 MF 285 I just changed the oil in my planetaries and the first side I tried to drain had maybe a cupful of oil (capacity is 3.5 quarts) and the other side seemed to be pressurized since oil shot out when I took out the fill plug. That side seemed to be significantly overfilled. Are...

    Tappets and Break-in Oil Question

Lucas seems to make a good high zinc break-in additive that you can add to the oil.

    M-1127 transmission fluid

I could buy M-1127 transmission fluid for over $100 for 5 gallons from my local MF dealer or buy Warren premium transmission fluid from Agrisupply for $44. The Warren oil says it meets M-1129 specs (didn't say anything about M-1127). Will I be foolish going with the Warren fluid?

    MF 285 steering

I am wrapping up finishing a rebuilding on a 1981 MF 285 and thought I was done...then steering fluid start coming out of the top of the steering column. Is this a simple seal replacement or do I have a more serious problem? I talked myself into using ATF in the steering pump rather than...
