    TO-20 new starter won't turn flywheel

    Run a Ground from The Battery to the bolt that holds the starter to the moter. See if that helps.

    With all the weight and stress on the exhaust elbow. How do you keep it from breaking? What about rain,water or snow going down the stack and freezing or getting into the motor.

    Ferguson 40

    After you take off the valve cover and flush the head, put a new oil filter and oil in it. Run it an hour or so,and change the oil and filter again. Maybe use a moter flush and run it what the manufactor says on the can. Who knows what crud is in the motor. The oil and filter is a lot cheaper...

    engine noise

    Have somebody try to start the tractor. Put a screwdriver touching the starter with the metal tip to the starter, and the plastic end to your ear. See if the noise is comming from the the starter. Also disengage the PTO.

    new sediment bowl leaking

    After sitting a long cold NY winter, I added gas to my TO-30 and It leaked. I took the thin cork gasket out and made some out of 1/4 rubber cork gasket material from napa.     engine noise

    My TO-20 makes both of those noises,only when it is running,not starting.On mine grinding noise is from the bearinng on the alternator. The belt makes a screeching noise. The belt noise goes away after a minute or so.I want the alternator to last the winter so I won't tighten the belt any more...

    Restoring Dad's TO30

    Super good job. I hope to get mine done this year. Also what primer and finish paint did you use. How long did it take to clean it up to prime. Can you give a little run down on how you cleaned it up to prime. Did you have all repairs and oil leaks repaired befor painting.

    tapping into TO20 (TE20) hyd for log splitter

    Are the ports on the Hyd. lift cover only for testing. Can't you use them as a normal hyd.output. What about the port on the bottom of the pump.

    Water can get into the hydraulic fluid a lot of ways. The two easlest way are around the shifting leaver. and down the plunger staft that goes into the hydraulic lift cover.     TO 30 loss of hydrolics

    I bought a TO-30 that had a trashed out Hy. pump for $600.00 with a Hi-low add on. That person had water in the tranny that froze, and tried to use the 3 point lift. A lot of damage in a few seconds.A very sad moment.

    snow blower 1950 t-20

    I have used a snowblower on a TO-20. You just have to get use to raising the snowblower befor you want to clutch, and let the unit clean itself out. Otherwise it will plug up, and a few unhappy thoughts will be said. I has able to go through 5 inches of light snow. Living south of Buffalo NY...
