    And once you clean up the connection, put some grease on them. Then they won't rust in the next month like bare metal. And then you won't have to do it again for a long while.

    I've been in a couple of shops like yours; didn't bite. I could see the quality of jobs in other shops when I worked for an insurance company, and that was good enough for the vehicle. I don't need or want to pay for, guide coats and days of block sanding trying to get the factory panels...

    555D Ford Backhoe with Bad Motor

    The 5500 and 5550 backhoes used that motor. The 750 and 755 have the turbo on them, but same 256. Seems the turbo motor would bolt in as well. When I rented a 555 and the neighbor had one, only 3 cylinder engines....

    Satellite TV expert needed

    I had a Directv for 13 years, about 10 years in, didn't work. Called them, rep said to unplug the receiver for a minute and then plug it in and power up. Fixed it. It just needed a reboot. This was before I had much computer experience. .

    Cabinet sandblaster

    OP, the trick to getting a small compressor to work is to use the smallest ceramic tip you can find, I got a TIP gun with a small orifice and I can use a 3HP Sears with a 30 gal tank. It's just little stuff, when I sandblast a car body, I fire up the 125 cfm gas powered Worthington trailer...

    I did exactly the same thing on a bathroom ceiling 26 years ago. Looked good for a couple of years, then I never got back into the house. i have the same material on the porch roof on my house, even older, and it still looks new.

    A friend was remodeling a commercial space and needed some power. The meter had been pulled so he tried a hacksaw blade to bridge the meter socket. Something was on and the blade exploded, burned his face mostly off. Somehow he drove himself to the hospital burn ward. Took months before it...

    Primer bulb sticks

    A cookie sheet works best to contain balls and springs flying out. Even better is a clear plastic bag to do the teardown, put it in there when you crack it open.

    Shouldn't have bragged! CAT 935C final drive

    You did the correct repair by cutting off the worn teeth and welding a new set on. I watched a weldor do that, slick repair. I'm sure the entire sprocket, new, from the dealer would of cost triple or more just for the part. Hate those taper fit deals. You always needed the special tool...

    Working on Old Cars

    At least the old cars didn't require all the special tools you have to buy with the new iron. I got along quite well with a 26" wide 7 drawer rolling cabinet and a 6 drawer top. Now I got that, plus a HF 44" top and bottom. I don't see how the techs can make any money after they pay the tool...
