    The dist. came off a 560 Farmall that had an occasional miss. I thought it was a sticky valve until it out of the blue started missing, backfireing and just being bad. After gas was checked, & carb messed with, nothing helped. Dist cap showed rotor to be hiting- leading to checking for slack...

    F20 running badly

    Pull your distributor cap and push against the rotor while you watch points gap. If Rotor shaft is worn badly causing this movement your points gap will be all over the place and it's time for a rebuild.

There are a lot of modifieds in the Billings-Sheridan area, some runing up to 5 engines on fuel---beyond my budget but there are some small mods as well.     Thanks for the info. I"ll see what i can pick up salvage. u are rite, it is a 560. i pulled the dist out of my 656 and stuck in just to verify problem and it runs better than ever. I may try milling my own bushings---that should be a challenge.

    Tractor seat rebuild

    I have a 656 Farmall that I,m going through from radiator to pto. The seat has the two rubber enclosed springs and shock. I,m not certain how to r&r the springs without an explosion of some sort. Don't have a book that tells me anything and am looking for help so I can keep all my fingers.
