    Case 400 diesel pros cons

How big of snow blower are you planning on using and how much snow do you get a year? I put an 8' two stage snow blower on my 400. I made a heavy duty top link bracket that bolts below the existing top link bracket. We made special pins for the lift arms to attach the eagle hitch arms to...

    Plow pix

I think that must be a 4 bottom BER that has a bottom removed to be a 3 bottom based on how the trip mechanism is set up. Eli

Need help with a Case DC

Congrats on the new tractor! Your can weld uplease the drawbar support and drill new holes. It would be good to practice on since it will need to be ground down once it's welded up. Good luck!

    Still ok to post here?

Jon, Just paint over those forbidden words and tell folks it's from the 40's or 50's. It's close enough to the Case implement green that was used in that era.

    Case 401

The screen does not come off it is brazed onto the end of the pipe. The orings that I mentioned are behind the valve body/pump. If you pull the valve body/pump you can get to the bolts that hold the suction tube in and then remove it to clean it. Good luck!

    Case 401

When you pull the filter out you can see the intake screen for the pump through the filter hole. Another potential cause for your issue could be the two orings that seal the pump to the hydraulic housing or the pump is just plain wore out.

Case 400 Diesel Pros - Cons

A few other things that I though of. The eagle hitch is really close to a category 1 3point. Most category 1 implements will fit or can be modified to fit. The top link for the eagle hitch bolts over the pto. If it is missing you should be able find one. The shift pattern uses a double...

Case 400 Diesel Pros - Cons

If it runs decent you should be ok. As others have said the hardest things to find are injector pump parts. I went through my 400 from the radiator cap to the draw bar. I was able to find all of the parts that I needed or made my own. Good luck!

    930 CK Hydraulic Valve

I went back and checked the shop manual and it does talk about the two different valves used. It does not describe if there are any differences in how to set the relief valve between the two. You can purchase shim stock in varying thicknesses and make your own. As I mentioned in an earlier...
