    12 ga or 20 ga?

For "Home Protection", you cannot beat a 10" Barreled .410 Pistol.. Mine is a "Comanche" 3" Capable.. There is even one (The Judge) that is a 5 shot revolver (3" capable".. I use and carry mine on the tractor to kill Groundhogs.. It also can shoot .45 Long Colt ammo.. Clyde..

    Flail Mower vs. Stalk Chopper

A "Stalk Cutter" will usually have "Sheeps-Foot" type blades..for shredding ..not really for cutting anything like grasses..

    Flail Chopper vs. stalk chopper

For obliterating corn fodder, a Flail is the Best... They take some HP but will eliminate the fodder... We had an old Case flail, we pulled behind our late Styled JD "B"..did a real fine job.. Was about all it wanted, to get it rolling..! Clyde..

    D17 gasser fuel economy?

They are not bad, if you lean the power screw when not working it real hard.. For working it really hard, open the power screw 1/4 turn, for more power..

Ford tractor to pull a 12 ft tandem disc. Will a 2000or 3600

In loose (plowed) and soft soils, Duals are strongly recommended. HP requirements and wheel slippage are much less.. Depends on the expected job.. Clyde..

    Drag plows

Keep an eye on the listings here and always look at any auctions locally.. Ask around, there should be a good number available...even ask at scrapyards.. Someone locally should know of some "Farm Equipment Scrap Yards".. Here in Ohio, one huge place is "Green's Equipment Sales", near London...

    1948 John Deere B

As long as the Clutch is operating properly and is Dis-Engaged..the engine will (or should) turn over with nothing else operating.. But..if there is a broken gear or the transmission is in 2 gears at once, the tractor is NOT going to move unless you Break something.. Since the tractor will...

    1948 John Deere B

You seem to have a very unusual problem..!! Has the Clutch been apart lately..? Could it have been installed incorrectly..? You say the engine turns over fine with the Clutch dis-engaged while in gear, but the tractor will not budge... Sounds like it IS slipping into TWO (2) Gears at...
