    Ok - yes, I believe it does have a mag, but diagram #4 shows a positive ground set up with a generator, I have an alternator and a 12 volt set up.... So - now where do I go? When I got the M the previous owner really had the wiring messed up, so I had to start from scratch... It originally...

    I followed Bob's diagrams #5 & #6 - now my M will fire with the ignition switch in the off position and will kill the tractor when the ignition is pulled out (on)also when the ignition is pulled out the resister gets very hot. I put a diode and resister in the sytem just as the diagrams stated...
