    Compact Tractors: Trade-in Value?

As mentioned in other threads, YT doesn’t really have a Compact Tractor board, so this one will have to do. Earlier this month we discussed Kubota tractors and I am getting ready to do some serious shopping among the several dealers within an hour of my residence. I have a Ford 1900 to trade. Is...

    ac model c engines problems

Sounds to me like your problem is fuel restriction. Without the engine running open the drain at the bottom of the carb and put a container to catch the gas, you need to have a generous flow even after a good half minute. Even with good flow the main jet can be plugged and make it cut out during...

    bumper pull or gooseneck?

Bumper pull works especially well with a long wheel base truck.

    W20b fuel problems

I have had the same problem with a few diesels. Every time it was a pin hole leak (or crack) in the rubber fuel line or a clamp or fitting that needed to be tightened allowing air into the line while the fuel bleeds back to the tank.

Need Diagnosis for WD engine … tall head

Has the engine ever been badly overheated? The piston rings can lose their tension and oil consumption is sometimes the result.

    OT---COMPUTER LOCKS UP

Because I'm suggesting he gets himself a Mac laptop computer and Google Chrome...did you read more than my last line??

    Cold WD will not start.

I totally relate as my WD is the same. Good engine, no smoke, no oil consumption to speak of, good compression, new ignition, new distributor cap, new plugs, new coil, good spark, good gas, good flow through the carb, now on the 2nd carb - gone through and still will not start cold. It runs...

    OT---COMPUTER LOCKS UP

I don't know too much about computers either but they can sure get the best of your temper when they just cause frustration. Is yours a desk top or laptop? Years ago my wife and I totally gave up on desktops and we each got Macbook laptops...the best thing we ever did. Once we got set up with...

    Detours in my life

Thanks for your post, you make some very good points! In our home we often refer to the same thing as "hinge points"... these hinge points can have some dramatic changes in direction into following generations even and may not be considered a big deal at the time. My memory is a bit sketchy here...

    Power is back on!

The conditions and circumstances you describe make up exactly why I would not be without a wood stove in the house...sounds like you are well prepared for this kind of trouble.

Another old age adjustment coming up.

I know just what you mean...I shortened my stainless steel thermos by letting the hoist down on my truck LOL. On the "ladder talk" - old age and ladders are two curves that eventually meet unfortunately. I respect people that give up driving also when they know it's time, instead of waiting to...

    School me on---LUBER-FINER

The concept is (was) good, the filters are cheap and considering how much catchment is in that size filter you can't go too wrong still servicing and using a Luber-Finer. Yours probably hasn't been serviced for decades and needs a thorough cleaning. The world is into short cuts in so many...

    White Allis Chalmers

I haven't seen any white AC's but it's very interesting to hear that you worked at the Topeka Plant. If you have any pictures from there please post them for us here. I have owned two AC 816's made at the Topeka Plant, they were '70 and '71 model years...very good machines. I have thought many...
