    Thanks gain for the pics, Bob. So the Belleville spring is inside the clutch assembly; I won't worry about whether THAT'S the right part, then. I assume that the PTO release bolts are adjusting the tension of the Belleville spring, correct? I did not check these but will before reassembling, but...

    It might have a dual clutch. If the serial number starts with SGM (I think), it's dual clutch. First stage is for transmission, then after more resistance, it'll disengage the PTO.     Thanks for the info, guys. We tried connecting the wire from the battery to the coil, still no spark. We re-checked the power going to the solenoid, and it kept going down to about 5v while it was cranking. Then, it was sporadically getting the 12v and not getting the 12v just with the key...
