    8N Ford tractors

Golly, that is sure good to know. I really feel like an idiot that I have not been doing my yearly overhaul! I guess I missed that page in the manual. Glad there are others who know everything that can get me set in the right direction. Thanks for the info.

    North Alabama Christmas day

Very nice! Christmas just doesnt seem like Christmas without snow. If you need more we got lots! Just passed the old record here for December snowfall. I think at 33.4" now for December with a possible big New Years storm. Merry Christmas and great photos!

    Lost one more

Sorry for your loss. Grandparents are very special people. I just lost my grandpa last January. I have been very blessed that my other three grandparents are still doing well and I am 27 and still get to spend time with them. Again, you have my thoughts.

    sealing a gas tank

Hi, I have used the POR 15 tank cleaning/sealing products for a couple of things (including my 460 tank). I have been very pleased with the results. Not the cheapest option, but seems to be very durable and permanent. Just make sure you have enough to do the whole tank in one pour (I think I...

    460 snow blower?

Hi all, Just wondering your opinion of a 460 running a three point snow blower? I have a 460 with a three point, but was wondering if it would be an okay match with a snow blower. TA works fine, would that be bad for it to run with TA to slow reverse ground speed? I am new to the Farmall...

Happy Veterans Day! Where did you serve?

I did not serve, that is a huge regret that I have. I cannot say how much I appreciate all of you vets as well as those of you who did not see combat. You wrote your country a blank check and said that you were willing to give everything you had for the rest of us. I will forever be grateful...

    Non-Running Farmall M

Thanks guys, That is what I was kind of thinking, as I figured it would be a stuck engine with probably a total rebuild. He was asking $700 originally, then to $900. I just wanted to make sure I was not way out of line thinking that is too much. I guess someone at work told him that $900 was...

    Non-Running Farmall M

Hi folks, I have a friend whose dad has a Farmall M that has not been run in approx 15 years. Apparently last time it was used, they suspected a head gasket issue. He might be interested in selling it, and I might be interested in buying it, but I dont have an idea of what it is worth. It has...

    OT: building project (with pictures)

Very cool! I love seeing old buildings salvaged and brought back to life like that. Post more pictures of the chimney/firebox when done. Looks good!

Can you tell what tractor i'm working on?

Thanks Jim! I am hoping it turns out nice. I am thinking I may borrow the spray booth here at school and when its time to paint it. Then use it. I did a Ford 8N just out of high school, and it is starting to show some wear again as I have not babied it at all. Have a great weekend.

Can you tell what tractor i'm working on?

Did you make that? That is very cool! I know some high schools now do chopper projects where they make chopper motorcycles which is pretty fun. I have thought custom fabing a bike would be fun to do with some students. That thing looks like it would go just about anywhere through anything.

Can you tell what tractor i'm working on?

Yes, a 460. Bought it from a friend whose parents had it but didnt use it enough and it ended up sitting in a machine shed for about 15 years. I put some ATF in each cylinder and let sit for a week and took off the carb and cleaned it all out (it was pretty full) and it fired right up and ran...
