    Aah, but I didn't know the circuit went to the ccontroller. I learned a lesson, but to oredr a $70 service manual was something I tried to avoid.

    Problem solved. It seems on the start rely other side from the power switch doesn't go to ground there. I tried to bypass the start circuit with a direct wire from the start switch to the relay and grounded the other side. The side I grounded was supposed to go to the transmission controller...

    So I have survived with my HF pliers for years and will continue to have them on job sites where they might be borrowed... I was doing some electrical work this week and they wouldn't cut through aluminum Romex. Who makes a good set these days?

    Yes I have the service manual and operators manual. I gave up trying to adjust the clutches and brakes and had a mechanic come in and adjust them. The reservoir for the power steering was dry, so he rebuilt both power steering cylinders and readjusted them. Everything worked fine before he left...

    I keep bending the bolts that the power steering output to the clutches and brakes adjustment. I can't find a grade 8 bolts that have full threads and have had to thread the bolts. Am I weakening the bolts by cutting new threads? Is there a Deere part number for these bolts? The machine works...
