    Gleaner A raddle chain repair

I was going to replace the raddle chain with wooden slats with a Manchester steel one, then I thought the steel would wear the false bottom whereas the wood would wear instead and shape itself to the floor, So I decided to repair the wooden one. 7 slats were broken or missing, so chisled off...

I Need A Pick Me Up After Making A Big Mistake

dealers... I had a1996 F150 with a transmission problem, took it to a dealer that just opened, thought I'd give them some business, they said the transmission needed to be replaced, and oh, the mechanic said if you'd rather sell it than fix it he's interested (!). took it to an independent...

    Sun Damage

Fair skinned, freckles and red hair, outdoors all my life. 5% fluorourocil cream. Chemo therapy for what is growing too fast when there's too much to burn of with liquid nitrogen. Looks like hell, you won't want to go out in public, painful, itch, etc, but clears up the skin nicely. I've...

    Parts Guys??

I needed a long fuel hose for the farm diesel pump, all the autoparts store had were short ones. Kid there wanted to sell me a custom made hydraulic hose for fuel transfer for a measly $600, and he was dead serious. I haven't been back. Sad too, it is locally owned, not one of the chains.

    Treasures found picking rocks

We were paid a dollar a tractor box (3pt hitch carryall) as kids. One hill on the farm was covered with clay pipe pieces, where they broke the mouth end off when they got plugged, also found a cannon ball there. We suspect it was a colonial tavern site. Arrow heads stone axes, grinding stones...

    Lemon tree.

I brought one up to VA when I moved from FL panhandle. Lives in an 18" diameter pot. First year I left it outside and it froze, I thought to death, but it sprouted the next year. I was worried it had sprouted from sour orange rootstock (most commercial citrus uses that rootstock), but it...

    Gleaner A Cylinder clearance marker

I've been working on an old A. Wiring for new cab airblowers, LED lights, linear actuators in place of the cables for choke and throttle. Got the feeder drum repaired, new concave bars, Trimpe rasp bars. Steel Manchester raddle chain waiting on me. My question relates to adjusting the...

    Cole Planter?

Two of the hoppers are identical to AC ones, but have Cole stickers on them. The other two have AC stickers. The hoppers mount reverse of AC planter units, with the screw clamp in the back instead of the front.

    Cole Planter?

I'm told this is a Cole Planter, 4 on a tool bar with row markers, but I can't find pictures or diagrams or a manual anywhere online for this type of planter unit. Anyone know what model this is? Shoe with depth control + double disc opener. AC hoppers fit, it has two on it.

    Ford? Kewanee? disc

They have some parts, but not the bearing hubs. Those and parts like scraper blades I’d rather get from an old parts disc

    Ford? Kewanee? disc

I'm looking for parts for a kewanee disc, especially the bearing hubs. A Ford disc is up for auction local, looks the same as a Kewanee. Does anyone know if they were manufactured at the same plant? Parts interchangeable?

    Older Gleaner model parts interchange?

I am rebuilding an A, need parts for the unloading auger, especially the base part, but maybe the whole thing. Scrap yards have gotten rid of their As. Will other models auger parts fit on the A? from a K?
