    OT 1953 Chevrolet powerglide engine

I think the original poster is referring to the fact that in 1953 Chevrolet had 2 engine options. The manual transmission models had the older style 216 cid inline 6 cylinder, while the automatic or “power glide” models had a 235.5 cid engine with a full pressurized oil system.

    Lincoln welder

I don't known about the newer ones but; back in the early 1960’s when I bought my 225 amp Lincoln tombstone unit, the 180 Amp did not have a fan while the 225 amp model had a 240 volt impedance protected fan unit.

    Godspeed to Stormin' Norman

A General who truly believed that you lead from out in front of the troops, not from somewhere way behind them. RIP Stormin Norman, It saddens me to think how few leaders like you are left in our Military.

    Load bearing wall weight

Use your internet browser to find LSB light steel beam. I have never used it but my SIL just used to replace a bearing wall. He went to a local lumber yard that was listed as one of 2 in our area that carried LSB and they gave him some software to calculate the size of beam he needed. When he...

    Anyone had catarac surgery?

I had both eyes done about 7 years ago; it went great and really improved the vision especially when driving and the oncoming head lights caused “night blindness”. After about 5 years the regular implant lenses begin to cloud so they cleaned them with a Laser, painless and took less than 10...

John T - RMS voltmeter and new Inverter Microwave

True RMS reading voltmeters measure the waveform a great number of times during each ½ cycle and then perform a mathematical calculation on the collective readings to find the RMS value while the cheaper meters assume the waveform is a perfect sinewave and the RMS value is always 0.707 times the...
