IHC 284 3 point hitch hydraulics quit.

The pump is turning, and there are no visable leaks. The rockshaft can be jacked up and down, so it still moves freely.

IHC 284 3 point hitch hydraulics quit.

IHC 284 3 point hitch lifted fine one day and the next day didn't. Mower deck is on the ground. Changed the hydro fluid, which was milky, and the filter, but to no avail. The mower is still on the ground. Tried turning the lift speed valve in and out, but that did no good either. I'm completely...

    Cub Cadet 108 slow cranking.

Its a real slow crank, like it isn't going to start, but usually will catch. Runs fine once you get it lit.

    Cub Cadet 108 slow cranking.

Didn't think to check that. It runs great once you get it started, and though it cranks slowly, it will re-start the rest of the day.

    Cub Cadet 108 slow cranking.

I couldn't see what he was doing, as I had to wait behind the counter, customers not allowed in the shop. I ASSUMED that he tested it under load. When I installed the new battery and cables, it still cranked ove slowly.

    Cub Cadet 108 slow cranking.

Cub Cadet 108 cranks very slow. When it is cold , I need to put a jumper to it. The battery is new, the cables are new, with additional grounds from the engine to the battery, engine to chassis and battery to chassis. Still cranks slow. Had the starter/generator checked by a rebuilder who said...

    IHC hydraulics.

Will pull that apart and check th O-Ring. Looks like 4 bolts removes the cover. I did download the drawings from Messicks. That will be a huge help. I suppose since the fluid is still milky I need to change it and the filter again, after I find the problem. Is there something I could flush the...

    IHC hydraulics.

IHC 284, yes I know, one of the foriegn tractors, but I still need it to work. Last week the hydraulic 3 point hitch worked fine. Come the weekend, it didn't work at all. Went to lift the deck, it didn't move. Moved the lever back and forth, the deck went the rest of the way to the ground and...

    20HP Briggs twin pukes gas.

Figured I was missing something, so I took the carb off, and went through it again. Sure enough, there was small piece of something stuck between the valve and the seat. Completely dis-assembled and cleaned the carb again. Made sure the float actually floated, which it did. Replaced some...

    20HP Briggs twin pukes gas.

Thanks for the advice. Guess I'll tear it down again, see if the float actually floats, and go from there.

    20HP Briggs twin pukes gas.

Working on a Briggs & Stratton 20 HP 2 cylinder flathead. The thing cold starts easily, stumbles a bit, clears momentarily, the pumps gas out the top of the carb. Suspecting a stuck float, I pulled the carb off, cleaned out the float bowl, all the passages, checked the float for leaks and...

    Gravely Puzzeled???

The engine seem to want to run after the "bark" but dies off. Trying to engage the starter forces the same results, a "bark when the engine slows down. I don't recall hearing the impulse clicking when the engine is cranking. As strange as it seems, the impulse seems to be working backwards. I...
