656 farmall diesel hard to start
Try using a diesel pulse timer for pinpoint setting on the timing, it looks at the fuel pulse to #1 cyl, twist the injection pump as required. Also you said some wiring was done, did you keep the original glow plug harness set up. It should split between the 6 cyls, if you ran it from one end or...- F706-675sy

MCV Question
On the aft side of MCV there is a plug, I"m pretty sure it"s 5/8", remove it start tractor get ready to shut down quick due to fluid flow, reinstall top off hyds if required.- F706-675sy

Yes drain it, plug is in the center of tractor just fwd of where hitch attachment is located. While it is drained slam a new hyd filter in it and new fluid. After you install MCV don't forget to bleed it good, I prefer bleeding thru the MCV port instead of cycling steering. it can be alittle...- F706-675sy
