‘57 420U control arm
Thanks, that’s what I was thinking too. I’m still not sure about the one on the clutch side. I can’t think of a reason to lock the clutch in the disengaged position. Maybe to make a quick adjustment to the PTO? But that would be dangerous.- Fabrickator

‘57 420U control arm
I can’t figure out r find any information as to what the tapered cast iron arm is located on the Touch-O-Matic (TOM) top hydraulic housing. The John Deere parts manual calls it a “Arm, control”. My Operator’s Manual doesn’t mention it anywhere. It mounts with 3- 3/8” x 16 bolts and has what I...- Fabrickator

John Deere 420U air cleaner
Im currently restoring a 1957 JOhn Deere 420U. Im trying to save the air cleaner but someone has cut off the mounting brackets. Does anyone have a couple of pictures of this, maybe a couple of angles if possible. Thanks Rick- Fabrickator
