    Ih 574 brake master cylinder removal

    I am replacing a brake master cylinder on my 574. Trying to figure out how to remove it. It looks like the bolt that anchors the master to the pedal linkage won't come out without removing the equalizer. Is that correct, or am I overlooking something? Thanks for your help.

    I have a farmall 460 with a loader on it. It's not my main loader tractor, but a backup. It has cracked 6.00-16 tires on it. I was thinking up upgrading to a 6.50-16, or getting new rims and doing 7.50-15. I didn't know if 7.50-15 would fit on the narrow front without special offset rims. Was...

    Yeah, the gasket separated into 3 layers. Stuck to both block and head. Never seen that before.

    Copper spray. That was the second time that gasket was crushed.

    Correct, they are aftermarket pistons. I think I will put a burr wheel on a die grinder and ream the head back a little where it is hitting.

    Wanted to give an update. Pulled the head today. Cylinders 3 and 4 are hitting the head on the side of the fire craters, not on the top. Thinking about just reaming that lip on the head down and eliminating the issue.

    I just rebuilt the engine on my bn. New sleeves, pistons, rod and main bearings. Old bearings were not wore out, so went with the same size bearings. Engine starts up great, and has good oil pressure. It sounds like it has a knock in it towards the back of the engine. Nothing scary sounding, but...

    Ih 966 pressure plate bolts

    Replacing the clutch in my 966, and putting a 14 inch clutch in place of the 12. What size bolts will I need for the pressure plate? They look like 5/16 I think? Does anyone know the size/length? I'm assuming grade 8 bolts too. Thanks!
