    I didn't have the flywheel resurfaced or anything against my better judgement. It was definitely worn down, but didn't seem out of wack. It was a little discolored though, and behind the original 3800hr clutch, so it's a possibility I suppose. It would seem the next step is to pull it...

    That definitely makes sense. Right now there is like 3 inches of play on the input shaft between the pressure plate and throw out bearing. It sure seems like an awful lot. Rock

    All the dynahoes I've been around had a 2 stroke Detroit. That is either a love or hate relationship. All things being equal, I would say to think about that before anything. It's going to be harder to find parts for that machine compared to a case, cat, deeer, etc. They're out there...

    That's interesting, I bet that's my issue. I got the clutch kit from all state ag, and it was listed to fit 74,84,85,95, and 20 series. Now I'm curious if that kit was intended to be used with that plastic bushing. I can't imagine the input shafts are different on those tractors. Rock

    I just came across this plastic bushing on the interwebs looking for parts. I've never seen anything like that, what's the deal with that? It would explain the gap between the bearing and pressure plate. Although, I didn't remove anything like that when I pulled everything, so maybe it wasn't...

    Evening folks, I just installed a new clutch kit in my 1987 case IH 585 (2wd). I'm positive the disc is facing the correct direction. It's just not disengaging all the way, only like 1/2 of what it should be. I've spent hours fooling with the adjustments with no difference. Everything looks ok...

    John Deere vs International

    Although I think the 560 gets too bad of a reputation, I do agree, the 560 caused a lot of grief for IH. The 06 series on the other hand, I don't see a problem, they were tough as nails. Many 806Ds earned their keep as the big tractor on the farm back in the day. Rock

    Tsc has been out of rotella and Valvoline 15w40 for a month now. I got to go the rural king next 3 towns over and there getting short now. Rock
