    MF135 Engine Sleeve/Line

Yes I would say quite possible. Pressure could pass the rings at the point of the crack of squeeze down between liner and block bore. Not really what you want to hear though. Dave P where are you?

MF 135 rear axle seal question

I have found that dropping the transmission oil level to around the halfway mark on the stick is quite helpful at reducing leakage. Quite acceptable unless perhaps you are using external hydraulic equipment which demands lots of oil. It's a cheating option really but typical of my lazy, short of...

    MF135 no fuel upper vent

bleed to lower close; bleed to upper close then try to start sometimes slackening one injector pipe a little helps. blocked filters is a good thing to think of if pressure from the lift pump is poor-fuel should spurt. there is a gauze mesh filter in the tank on the switch off tap which is often...

    A problem solved

Dave has it more or less. You are rightly a legend on here and we can"t do without you! Thank you for your time and effort again. Yes, the hose between the intake manifold and the oil bath air cleaner was collapsing in on itself. But when the engine was not running it regained it"s normal...

    A problem solved

Sorry I can never suss out the posting order. You sir, are right. However I had cleaned filters (oil bath with fresh oil to the right line) regularly and recently. The cause was more devious and difficult to work out. In fact it was just a lucky chance that I did.!!! Full solution tomorrow.

    A problem solved

My 135 diesel had displayed a rough running; crackling sound and lot of smoke at high revs a couple of times. I really thought it was something serious. Like head gasket failure or cracked head or some high pressure fuel related fault. It only happened about 3 times and only at higher rpms...

Loud ticking on newly rebuilt engine

Worth maybe slacking injector pipes one at a time to find out which cylinder(if it is just one)it is. might be be sticking or dirty injector. Just a thought before you go digging deep.

    135 Leaking oil

Make sure the little holes underneath the transmission are clear. However if the oil"s that far up the clutch will be soaked. But could still run ok for a good while. Could be just oil leaking from either the rear engine seal or the front transmission seal and getting flung around. If all else is...

    MF35 Fuel Problems

I would say the mixture is too weak. This could be merely adustment at the main jet but more likely, especially if you have been disturbing things, dirt is in one or more jets. Before fiddling with the settings try cleaning the jets in the carburator or better still give the whole thing a though...
