    The compressor is locked up. Unplug the coil and you"ll be ok. If you change the compressor make sure you change the oriface filter too. It will trap the metal debris in the system. Good luck

    Anybody know where to find governor info, adjustment,replacement etc. for a 1957 720 Gas? Looked at JDParts.com, but was unable to download manual.

    Just went to look at it at lunch. The fan does move back and forth about a blade width. Maybe all the issue is it the governor?? Found the serial number 7205232

    Just talked to the guy last night. He stated it had a little blow by when he ran it last. It has been sitting outside for a year or so.

    Yes, it does have power steering. Looks like it has the factory JD 3pt. No upper link. Think you could get away with a light hone job, and rings if the engine looks good. Just to help freshen her up. Governor gear look to be expensive.

    I"m looking at buying a 720 Gas JD NF. The guy told me it ran but is a little loose. He said the governor needed some work. There is a gear set in there that wears out.?? The tires are good and the tin is pretty straight. Hyd. and 3pt all good. $3500. Any ideas, or help. Thanks Jeff
