The more I look at it, the more I believe is probably is a 4... boy, I really cuffuffled that one. Thanks for your help guys! I better look at that belt also then before I order the correct brackets...- Fiveflat

That's the bracket I figured I needed, but I thought the water hose would be in the way. Thanks for the photo! so I need that other sorta z shaped bracket as well then?- Fiveflat

This site makes it difficult to post pics... Finally got it done I think. The kit I got came with all the brackets in the first photo. I'm thinking I got the wrong brackets.- Fiveflat

Thank you, I suppose the wiring isn't too much of an issue but what I can't figure out is how to mount this alternator. The brackets just don't lineup to anything- Fiveflat

Looking for the proper freeze plug
Thank you for that Amazon link! Now to get to that plug easily I should probably remove the fuel injector. Is that an easy task to put back on? Will I mess up timing or anything like that? I've never fooled with an injector before but as I recall if it gets rotated or something it can foul... -

That is another great point! Surprised I didn't think of that myself. The more I look at it it's not a typical freeze plug either. It's a flat plate. It is not an open circle behind this plug. I'll gladly pay that $21 to have the proper part Thank you everyone! -

That's a good point and it makes sense too because that would mean I need a 2-1/4" freeze plug Thanks! I'll double check the bore tomorrow. -

CAV pump leaking
My CAV pump is leaking from somewhere around the bottom side. There is a small cover under there and I would imagine there are some orings? It still starts and runs but the leak really flows when the motor is running. I read some issue with taking covers or plates off the CAV. Cananyone point... -

Ford 4000 Lift cover removal
Got it, yea, it's a $700+ valve if it can be found. That wouldn't have happened this close to Christmas... Anyrate - it does work, that detent is just very firm. So general question then, how does everything under that lift cover work? Is it simply that tube in the right front getting...
