    4020 Gas MS Carb

Sometimes I’ve had a Ms float start to leak with a pinhole crack as the metal warms up and expands it opens. If they are bad enough you can see the pinhole bubbling That usually causes it to flood out however. I wonder if you might have a blockage along the way from tank to carb possibly and...

    Painting

There’s an old video series “how to paint a tractor” that covers a lot if you haven’t ever done one. Picking the classic green shade you like is the only thing that’s really specific. If you use Deere paint my ratio is 1 oz hardener 2 oz thinner 10oz paint (this paint amount has varied on temp...

    Another junk tool?

The micron gauge is forbidding for more than just the diyer. It’s been the hot new thing for awhile now but in a shop if you already have to have a recovery machine to cover your buns that’s usually where the micron gauge fun money would be spent.

John Deere 50 Rear Wheel adjustment

I had forgotten they had an adjustment rack on the number series you are correct I’m not sure why I think of new generation and beyond when you say that type of axle. The change will be the tube method won’t work on most you can get an air hammer on that wedge or smack it directly is still...

Thank you Jim from your zoomed in picture it appears 2 tabs inside not bolts so you are correct have to be careful but still more safely done than some

John Deere 50 Rear Wheel adjustment

Lift tractor. Take the bolts out of the collets and put them in the threaded holes after soaking everything down with penetrating oil carefully snug them up and see if it comes apart(likely it won’t mine had some wax paper in from the last guy being nice) then a tube over the axle and smack...

    Two piece tractor rims

That appears to be the bolt together kind that’s more common today on larger mining equipment but I’m not entirely certain it appears the bolts are headed in the wrong direction to me. It’s safe deflated I’d give it a go taking it apart and if you can figure it out it should be fine there were...

    3 Point Carry All

Before we had the flatbed we used the carryall for fencing and other tasks you would use a pig mover for that wasn’t moving pigs A lift platform to put a ladder on to get to a second story It tucks away under a pallet rack too that neither a wagon or hog carrier will a handy generator mount as...

    Another junk tool?

I’m glad you found the leak. We use a small amount of dye and yellow glasses with a black light. It’s safer for the components and you aren’t adding something you shouldn’t to the system. Gas or liquid there’s no reason for anything else to go in other than refrigerant dye and refrigerant. I...

    Another junk tool?

I would not add compressed air that just introduces more water each time and needs to be removed. or any other gas. He likely changed out the compressor during the conversion?? so it’s fresh when he converted it and probably hasn’t wadded up with a bunch of metal inside at the very least so...

    Another junk tool?

Quick google search of a dryer for that vehicle does show one that does also include a low side port so I’m not saying 100 percent it would fit but that might be part of mystery. There’s another style more of an inline affair with hoses If he converted it sometimes a kit will come with an...

    Another junk tool?

What’s it on? The accumulator might be a desiccant filled drier you could replace that and be double extra sure it’s working

    Another junk tool?

With a hose off that is perfect it tells you you need to shut it off and fix the problem (connect the hose) instead of wasting billable time. The cheap red one should pull 25. Do what you like it should work fine but the moisture you are boiling out doesn’t care what is pulling the vacuum or...
